Easy Wordpress Automatic Backup

For those of you who are lazy about important things like backing up your websites and data (and this DEFINITELY includes me…), this is about the easiest solution you will find. Now lets force ourselves to do it. It will only take about 20 minutes max.
HOW IT WORKS
This method of backup involves 2 wordpress plugins (WP-DB Backup and WP-Cron and any email account. I suggest Gmail because it is free and you get a lot of free storage. (1 gig I think). Once you install the 2 plugins and set the options, a backup of your wordpress database will be emailed to the Gmail account every day. Thats it. Simple right?
HOW TO SET IT UP
1. Download the 2 plugins: WP-DB Backup and WP-Cron
2. Install them. Basically just upload them to your WP plugins folder and activate them on your WP plugin management page. (pretty easy, but if you need help with that look here: Managing WP Plugins)
3. Set up preferences: under your WP admin menu, click Manage, then click–> Backup:
On the backup page, scroll down to the bottom.
Under “Scheduled Backup” select “daily”, then there should be another “Email backup to:”. Enter your email address.
Finally, there may be some extra tables, depending on what other plugins you have selected. I just chose to include all of them. Can’t hurt.
One last thing. You may need to create the directory: (wp-content/backup/). Wordpress will let you know.
Click submit.
That’s it! Didn’t hurt much, and I feel a lot better now.
