A Refreshing Adsense Alternative: RevResponse

For those of you who are still looking for a new stream of revenue (especially after the bad news from AdSense), RevResponse may be the program for you.

What is RevResponse?

RevResponse is essentially a CPA program (Cost Per Action, sometimes known as Pay Per Action – PPA), that pays you a minimum of $1.50, and up to $20 every time you complete an “action”.

Like AdSense, RevResponse allows you to create custom widgets (See the example to the right) to promote offers on your site. But Unlike any other program I’ve seen or tried, RevResponse will pay you for offering your visitors free resources like magazines, white papers, software downloads and more. And just browsing through the magazines, I’ve seen some really interesting products. Some that I will definitely check out.

Getting Started

This was the one part that wasn’t straight forward for me. When I was asked to write this review, I definitely wanted to register and check it out, so I headed over to http://www.revresponse.com, and found the huge “Sign Up Now!” link. I followed the procedure, and when I was done, I got a message telling me to check my email. The message said that “I am currently reviewing your application and will contact you within 48 hours with instructions for using RevResponse.” . I never received that contact message, but after 2 days, I was able to log in and start setting up free product widgets for my site.

I have only just registered with RevResponse and placed their flash widget on the sidebar of SEOlogs.com, so I’m not sure how effective it will be, but getting paid to give my visitors valuable content for free seems like a win / win deal
