  • Microsoft Launches adCenter Today

Microsoft launched adCenter today, its answer to Google’s Adwords and Yahoo’s Publisher Network. I won’t be using it anytime soon, so it would be nice if anyone who who has tried it would add some comments about it below. I would be especially interested to hear how good the user interface is.

At first I though hey interesting lets have a look around but as soon as I opened the adcenter page I thought …”but why would I use it?” they already make it so easy to get good results in their search engines anyway …

When you want to sell ads you first have to make it hard to get first page listings or am I thinking wrong?

Some people would say that it doesn’t matter if you are #1 in organic search. They would still buy the paid search just to be even more visible.

For example: do a search on Google for “seo book”

You will see that he has the #1 position for organic results, and one of the top spots for PPC. It’s probably not too hard for him to keep that top spot in adwords since they kind of boost the position of the ads with a higher click thru rate.

      Good point,

However I would not use this option, for now. Not unless my site or business has the need for a better ctr. Not every keyword phrase is as competitive as SEO, travel or real-estate.

I rather spend some money for good seo and maintain it then keep on spending it on ppc. I guess that goes for most small businesses

This will never be a competition for google unless microsoft works on their fast results.

      My opinion though…
