This tool is by far my favorite of all. It is an online tool, available for free all the time. They actually offer three very useful tools.
1. Link Popularity Check
Enter your domain name, and it checks all of the major search engines (Google - AOL, HotBot, MSN, and Yahoo). It displays the results among about 20 other sites, so you can see where your site stands with respect to some other sites. Next you can click to see the trend - history report of your link popularity over time. They keep a record of the stats every time you visit. Its just great.
2.Search Engine Saturation tool
They also offer the same features in a 'search engine saturation' check. This tells you how many of your pages are indexed by the major search engines. This tool also gives you a trend - history report of your search engine saturation.
3. Keyword Verification
Enter a keyword and see if your site is listed in the first three pages of search results on the major Search engines. The only bad thing about this tool is that it counts paid listings too.

SEO ToolBar Lite free
This is one of the best link popularity tools I have seen. It is a Tool bar that displays backlinks, or inbound links and indexed pages of the page you are visiting. The display includes inbound links from Yahoo, Google, Google indexed pages, AOL, DMOZ, and MSN. Allows you to check your sites and your competitors sites.
