Googlenet Continues

Google is looking to test their free WiFi service on a larger scale now. They have offered to provide WiFi internet access to parts of San Francisco.

I can imagine that there will be a lot of opposition, especially from the huge established telecommunication companies. I am hoping that everything works out, because these establised companies need a kick in the rear. If there is a way to make internet access free or even cheaper, why wouldn’t they do it?

We’ll have to wait to see how this plays out.
