I noticed a different kind of referal today while looking at my StatCounter.com stats.

    A referal from:

    http://www.google.com/url?sa=D&q=http://www.seologs.com/archives/2005/08/31/some-adsense-advice/

Ill get back to this strange referal from Google.

Later on I read that Google Blog Search is live today. I must admit that I was impressed right off the bat, simply because of the search results for [seologs]. I know, its a random search term, but the top 10 or more resuts all point to www.seologs.com. The same search in google only gives me a #1 and #2. Bear in mind that I only get a few referals a week from Google for that search term.

Come to think of it, I really haven’t seen much traffic at all from any Search Engines. The majority of visitors to this site are by Direct Access.

Heres a peek at my stats (AWStats)

    • Direct address / Bookmarks 88.6%
    • Links from an Internet Search Engine 1.7%
    • Links from an external page (other web sites except search engines) 9.4%

Sorry about the tangent. Back to the strange referal from Google.

While browsing through the results for [seologs] in the new Google Blog Search, I noticed while mousing over the links, the urls looked the same as the referals I got this morning. So Im assuming that they came from the new Blog Search.

Maybe this new Google Blog Search will mean some more traffic for blog/ sites like mine. Too new to get any attention from Google Search, but maybe Ill see some traffic from the new Blogs search.

Ill keep you posted, also please comment on any of your own observations.
