dnScoop Accuracy Check

Moniker.com announced yesterday (May 15) that it has brokered the sale of Porn.com for more than $9.5 million.
I thought this might be a good opportunity try to improve on the accuracy of my dnScoop.com domain value estimate tool. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this:

After putting so much time into developing dnScoop, it was pretty great to see an estimate come this close to an actual real-life domain purchase price.

Don’t you think some more categories should be added in dnscoop tool because my site http://www.funwadi.com is related to fun and entertainment and it doesn’t suits any category which are there. Why not to add some more categories yeah

I’m still trying to figure out what to do with the category selector.

Okay Sir. That’s great. Hopefully in near future I will be able to see some new categories which suits for my site the best

dnscoop is accurate when compared to leapfish.com which gives insane results

excellent and very accurate!
means my sites do seem to have a little value.. but as B Jones say, the category selector is a little confusing, but i just leave it blank

Not bad – usually DNScoop pricing has more curiosity/novelty value, so interesting to see something reflected in real life – though of course porn.com is probably a more unique asset than many others tested for pricing with the tool.

However, this is an asking price. And to be honest, it is difficult to imagine a sold price before closing. What if it sold for 2 millions? or for 24 millions?
So yes, it’s a good one for now. I’d like to see much more accurancy, not only one shot, and more confirmed sold prices.

It works great, i’ve been using it for all of my sites just as a general tracking tool and to see their progress. The only problem is that with newer sites like IXCoupon.com that i’ve just registered will be off until they age well after a year.
