Tips from the Winner of the MyBlogLog Contest

Leo, the owner of Survival of the Feedest, and winner of the MyBlogLog ProBlogger Contest has written a post on his blog about how he won the MyBlogLog Contest. I must say, I knew that Leo was good, but after reading his post …, well, lets just say that there is a lot to learn about promoting your MBL community from his post. Yes, putting a call to action, (the word “Join”) on his profile picture was definitely one of the smarter tactics, but that was just one of many really smart tactics he used. His post is well written, and definitely worth a read.

I think your strategy was really good as well. Leo says “was a great sport, clean and classy. If the contest went on for a couple of more days - he would’ve likely won”

Badi, thank you for the plug. Most appreciated.
Omar, I really think Badi would’ve beaten me. I had a triple-digit lead at some point, but the gap was melting away fast. Badi gave me a hell of a race.

Ha. Maybe if I could have seen your post on how you won..
Otherwise, what you were doing just worked better than my tactics.
It seemed like a night or 2 before the end of the contest, you sort of slowed down, and I got within around 30 or 40, but then it was like you switched on the turbo, and the gap just kept getting bigger.
