SEOlogs Re-Design Contest

I have been planning a re-design for SEOlogs for a while now. I have a friend who recommended a designer who lives in East Europe. His work looks pretty good, but then I had an idea that might be more fun.

The winner will get a permanent (or as long as I am using any part of the design) text link in the footer of home page of the site, valued at up to $180 per month with TLA’s link worth calculator (http://www.text-link-ads.com/link_calculator.php).

Design must include easy to use templates for the following:

  • Home page Design – including logo
  • Blog (working WordPress Theme)
  • Tool / inner pages Design

First Round:
The first round will be for the FRONT PAGE ONLY. image submissions only. So just send a Jpeg copy of your photoshop design. Either host the image yourself, or upload them to flickr (or the like), and link to them in a comment.

The first round will be judged solely on looks.

Second Round:
The first round will be the same as the first, image submissions only, but will consist of a blog design and a content page/ tool page design.

Final Round:
I will choose the top 5 designs from top entries of round 1 (with your help of course), and those 5 will be asked to actually create the site templates.

The final round will be judged on:

  • Usability
  • Valid Markup
  • Clean HTML Source
  • Clean & well commented CSS and Javasript (if used)
  • Ease of use

Hopefully we’ll get enough entries to make this happen. Good luck.

Well, I thought I’d wait to see if there was enough interest, but It’s not looking too good :) It’s not too big a deal though, I just thought I’d throw it out there.
