Bigdaddy Updates and Danny Sullivan, Google’s New Advisor

It’s been a while since we have heard anything from Matt Cutts about the BigDaddy update. The last thing I heard was that there were 3 data centers updated with the new BigDaddy algorithm change. Well it turns out that now about 2/3 of the data centers are live with BigDaddy.

Stephen, yup. Were live with Bigdaddy at about 2/3rds of our data centers now.

That was from the comments of this blog post, which begins ”
If youre not a Googler, please ignore this post“.

I honestly wasn’t going to read it until I saw that part. The whole thing is about 2 posts by Danny Sullivan in searchenginewatch.com. One was called 25 Things I Love About Google, and the other was called 25 Things I Hate About Google.

Apparently, Cutts took the latter post very seriously, telling his fellow Googlers, “You’ve been handed detailed bug reports (for free!) from one of the foremost experts in search. “, and to basically do something about it.

So it looks like they are taking Danny Sullivan pretty seriously, and that’s a good thing.

So if Google has been ignoring you forever, now you know who to go through. :)

Never the less, you should take a look at 25 Things I Hate About Google. Its a really good post.
