Matt Cutts Isn’t the Only One

I was reading the Official Google Blog today when I noticed a list of links under the heading: Blogs by Googlers. Matt Cutts has gotten so much publicity in the SEO world that I never even heard of any other blogs by Googlers. I did a quick skim of each blog, and here are the interesting ones.
Chris Sacca’s WhatIsLeft.org
To be honest, the only reason that I listed this one is because he invited MC Hammer to the Googleplex. There are pictures and all. In my book, thats just cool.
Nelson Minar’s Nelson’s Weblog
The first thing I saw here was a couple of posts about using Ethereal (Tethereal). Thats also good stuff in my book.
Otaku, Cedric’s weblog
This guy is really techie. I saw a few articles about java, gaming, Google Products, and some other cool programming stuff.
persistent.info
Lots of Google-relevant information here.
Here are the first 3 posts (just to give you an idea)
- More Scraped Feeds
- Google Reader
- Movable Type 3.2 and Comments
Jason Shellen’s shellen.com
The thing about this blog that caught my eye was this little adsense tweak:
<!–[if IE]>
<!–
<script type=”text/javascript”><!–
google_ad_client = “pub-2004576835187517″;
google_ad_width = 125;
google_ad_height = 125;
google_ad_format = “125×125_as_rimg”;
google_cpa_choice = “CAAQweaZzgEaCA2ZyYC_NXeAKK2293M”;
//–></script>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js”>
</script>
<![endif]–>
It only shows the ad if the user agent is Internet Explorer.
Remember. These are only the blogs by Googlers that I was interested in. If you like food, or …well, a lot of the other Googler blogs seemed to be about food. Anyway, take a look for your self. They are all listed on the Official Google Blog.
